Convert HEIC to JPG
Turn iPhone photos into JPGs that open on any computer, website or app. Location and camera details are left out.
Free to start · No card needed · Files never leave your device
Why iPhone photos are HEIC
Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos as HEIC to use about half the space of JPG. The catch is that plenty of Windows software, websites and forms still won't accept it.
Converted on your device
Your browser decodes the photo itself and saves it as a JPG at the quality you pick. Nothing is uploaded, which matters for personal photos and IDs.

Questions
What is a HEIC file?+
HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default. It saves space, but many Windows apps, websites and upload forms can't open it. JPG works everywhere.
Is my location removed?+
Yes. The JPG is drawn fresh from the photo's pixels, so GPS, camera details and other metadata in the HEIC are not copied over.
Which browsers can convert HEIC?+
Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad, and Chrome or Edge on most Windows, Mac and Android devices. The photo is decoded by your browser itself, so very old browsers and Firefox may not manage it. If yours can't, the tool tells you.
How do I stop my iPhone saving HEIC?+
Go to Settings, Camera, Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will be JPG. Photos you already took stay HEIC, so convert those here.
Are my files uploaded?+
No. The tool runs inside your browser tab and reads the file from your device. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else, which is also why it works quickly on big files.
Is it free?+
Yes. Free covers 5 files a day up to 30 MB each, one at a time. Pro is $7 a month and removes the daily limit and the size cap, and lets you drop in whole batches.
