Questions

How do you tell if an image is AI generated?+

We read the labels stored in the file: C2PA Content Credentials (used by OpenAI, Adobe, Google, Microsoft and others), the IPTC 'trained algorithmic media' tag, and generator settings that tools like Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI save into PNGs.

If no label is found, is the image real?+

Not necessarily. Labels are often lost when an image is screenshotted, re-saved or posted to social media. A missing label means the file makes no claim either way.

Can you detect Google SynthID?+

Not yet. SynthID is hidden in the pixels and can only be read by Google's own SynthID Detector. We link to it from the results.

Is it free?+

Yes. The checker is free with no daily limit.
